CE Requirements by Type
Effective January 1, 2015: a new CE course for earthquake will be required for licensees' holding a Property line of authority.
An existing ACTIVE resident (R) or non-resident (NR) license may be renewed approximately 90 days prior to expiration. Renewals are required to be processed online with the Oklahoma Insurance Department. Oklahoma resident licensees will need to be CE compliant prior to renewing their license.
You can check your CE transcript here (http://www.statebasedsystems.com/EdTranscript.htm).
The OID suggests all CE requirements should be completed 30 days prior to the license expiration date to insure a trouble-free renewal process.
You can renew your license via the OID website at http://www.ok.gov/oid/Licensing_and_Education/Renewing_a_License.html.
We've designed our courses to be online and are broken into small "units" to make studying easier and stress-free. Each of our courses consist of several units of study with a quiz at the end of each unit. To progress from one unit to the next, you must pass the quiz by obtaining a score 70% or better. If you fail the quiz, don't worry as the course takes you back to the unit for review and a retake the unit quiz. This process is repeated until you pass the unit quiz.
During the quiz, you cannot back up to find the answer in the study materials. However, you can use your own personal notes but you may not use any other person's notes or help during a quiz.
When you complete the quiz, the course shows you your answer, the correct answer and an explanation of the correct answer. The unit quiz is a monitoring tool used to track your time studying the unit and responses to the questions.
Upon successful completion of the online portion of the course, you will be able to download the textbook for further review. Once you are ready, the course will upload a final exam. No need to worry, if you do not achieve a passing score the first time around, the system will automatically upload a second exam.
Upon successful completion of the course, we will email you a certificate of completion and report the hours to the Oklahoma Insurance Department the next business day.
